Silberglanz Eierfarben

Ingredients: water, gelatine, humectant: E 422 glycerin; acidity regulator: E 270 lactic acid; Dye: E 124 Cochineal Red A, E 142 Green S, E 104 Quinoline Yellow, E 131 Patent Blue V; Preservative: E 202 potassium sorbate

• First boil the eggs and keep them warm.

• Now put on the gloves and separate the ink cartridges from each other with scissors.

• Place the colors in a container with hot water with the tips facing up.

• As soon as the colors are liquid, shake well, dip the tip briefly into the hot water and cut off.

• Now dry the hot egg with kitchen paper.

• Starting with the lightest color, add around 15 drops of the color to the glove and spread it around.

• Turn the egg over in the palm of your hand.

• Allow the colored egg to dry briefly in the egg cup until the surface is sticky. Then immediately place a sheet of silver foil on the egg with the matt side facing the egg and press firmly.

• Rubbing with your fingernail or the handle of a spoon will enhance the metal effect.

• Then peel off the foil and what remains is a glittering silver effect.

To apply the next color, you should clean the gloves with warm water, dry them and, if necessary, replace the hot water bath for the colors. Then proceed as described above. You can use the foil until the entire metal layer is used up.
