Preparation:
- Place one beaten raw egg (50 g) into a measuring jug and fill with cold water to 0.5 l (500 ml). Empty the contents of the measuring jug into a bowl, stir thoroughly, and quickly stir in the contents of the packet with a whisk. Let it swell briefly.
- Knead the dough well and add spices as desired.
- With moistened hands, form about 8 dumplings and, if desired, place toasted white bread cubes in the center of the dumplings and place them in plenty of boiling, lightly salted water.
- Bring to a boil briefly and then let it simmer in an open pot over low heat for about 20 minutes.
