Ingredients: Water, humectant: E 422 glycerin; Ethanol, acidity regulator: E 270 lactic acid; Dye: E 131 patent blue V, E 110 yellow orange S, E 101 (ii) riboflavin 5'-phosphate, E 127 erythrosine; Coating agent: E 904 shellac

Prime eggs

• First, the eggs need to be primed.

• To do this, put on the gloves, tear open the bag with the clear coat cloth at the marked point, remove the cloth and unfold it.

• Now rub the raw eggs one after the other in your hand all around with the clear varnish cloth.

• One cloth is suitable for treating up to six raw eggs.

Please note:

The cloths contain lacquer with (natural) alcohol and are therefore highly flammable. Please do not work in the immediate vicinity of open flames such as candles or cigarettes. The cloth dries in a few minutes, please use immediately after opening. Allow the clear coat cloth to dry on the newspaper for at least five minutes before discarding.

Boil and color eggs at the same time

• Pour a liter of warm water into the pot.

• Separate the colors with scissors.

• Now prepare the individual color baths. To do this, separate the dye bags from each other. Place a bag in the measuring cup and pour in 300 milliliters of warm water. Cut off the tip of the paint cartridge and add the paint to the bag.

• Also add half (2.5 milliliters) of a color booster cartridge (cartridge with clear liquid) to the bag.

• Place up to three raw, primed eggs into the dye bath with a spoon and close the bag with one of the included clips. The eggs must be covered by the dye bath.

• Place the bag in the cooking pot. The bag opening must protrude above the water.

• Now fill the other three dye bags in the same way and place them in the cooking pot.

• Bring the water in the pot to the boil on the stove and then continue to boil for five to eight minutes.

• Remove the bags one by one and place them in the sink. Cut open the bags below the clips with scissors. Rinse with cold water until the color runs off.

• Dry the eggs with a kitchen towel.

You can now enjoy the eggs warm straight away.
