Gelling powder for making jam: With Dr. Oetker Gelfix Classic 1: 1 lets you make your favorite classic sweet jams, jams and jellies. You need about the same ratio of fruit and sugar, ie one bag of Gelfix Classic is sufficient for 1000 g of prepared fruit and 1150 g of sugar. For jellies you need 850 ml of fruit juice and 1000 g of sugar.

1. Finely cut the prepared fruits or puree them or measure the fruit juice and place in a large saucepan. 

2. Mix only 1 tablet of Gelfix Classic with 2 tablespoons of sugar, mix with the fruits / fruit juice and bring to the boil while stirring. Once the fruit mass boils bubbly, add remaining sugar. Boil for at least 3 minutes while stirring constantly. 

3. Take foam off the fruit if necessary, immediately fill to the brim in prepared glasses. Close with screw-on lids (twist-off), turn over immediately and allow to stand on the lids for about 5 minutes.
